Yat’s, aah Yat’s. What a delightful change in pace this restaurant is. This ranks as one of my favorites in the city. Yat’s is a New Orleans themed restaurant that has a constantly changing menu posted on a chalkboard. All of the menu items are $5.50 and a ½ and ½ will run you $6.50. I always get the ½ and ½ because it is so hard to choose just one thing. My favorite item on the menu is hands down the white chicken chili. They have all the New Orleans standards such as Jambalaya, Gumbo, etc., but they also offer many items you may not have heard of before. No matter what you get, the food is always delicious and the service is excellent.

This is the first of what will probably be many Indianapolis restaurant reviews. I have come up with a ranking system. From the best to worst here it is: Worth every penny Solid Performer Worth another shot Average at best Total waste of money Maybe I was in bad mood that night, maybe I caught them on an off day but the food and service at the Corner Wine Bar were both terrible. I arrived at about 7:45 on a Sunday night and we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and watch people go by. We order three drinks which turned out to be the best thing on the menu after that, things went downhill. The first dish we tried was a pasta dish with grilled shrimp…sounds pretty easy right? I have decided to add a restaurant reviews section to the blog. Unfortunately, I eat out more often than I should; hence I will have plenty of opportunity to post restaurant reviews. I will tell you this: I am very demanding when it comes to quality and taste of food especially if I am paying for an expensive meal. If I pay $20+ for an entrée, I expect the dish to be very very good.
I feel like I should tell you about my food likes and dislikes so you can get a sense of my gastronomically prejudice tongue. I love spicy food, not just to be hot but I love the flavor of hot.
