A new water park/ hotel could the newest addition to the madness surrounding the Anson project in Zionsville. Indianapolis based Street Corner group accidentally announced on their website that its Boone Crossing Development at the corner of I-65 and S.R. 334 would include a 250 room hotel with a water park. This “announcement” is not official yet and no hotel chain has been announced but they do expect the details of the project to be figured out in 2 – 3 months. If this does happen, the water park and the rest of the project could be complete as soon as 2009.
Since the Medco announcement, the Anson project has really taken on a new life. It seems every few weeks some new big announcement come out about more and more people and companies who want to be involved in this project. Personally, I cannot wait to hear what builders have decided to go into Anson and what kind of product they will be offering. Word on the street is that the developers are asking a pretty penny for the lots in there, but with the current market conditions builders are likely bargaining hard. Whoever it is, it will likely be an upscale development and one I cannot wait to see.

We have 3-4 hotels/condotels projects that are either complete or still under construction here in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area that have pretty extensive water parks built into or around them. Pretty cool.

I also cannot wait to hear. Some of the new luxury developments are just too delightful to read about – amenities we couldn’t have dreamed of a few years ago.
