I recently visited the new Indianapolis condo project off of Keystone Avenue, Renaissance Bay and talked to the sales person about this exciting project. I am really exited about this project…I think it offers a brand new style of living in Indianapolis. If the sales trailer is any indication about how they are building this project, it seems that no expense has been spared.
The community is modeled after South Carolina architecture and offers a “resort style” living in Indianapolis. Renaissance Bay offers the convenience of being located just south of the Keystone Mall and near I-465, but also offers Indianapolis residents the unique opportunity to have waterfront living and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city while...

I have started a MAJOR project for the website…I am setting out to make my website the best place for all Indianapolis new homes information. What I am doing is visting or re-visiting every builder and every subdivision in the Indianapolis area. I am talking to the sales people to get an idea about the neighborhood, taking pictures, and gathering all the relevant facts. Here are few examples of what I have done so far:
Beazer Homes Eagles Nest
Beazer Homes Walker Farms
Pulte Homes Cobblestone Lakes
Ryland Homes Eagles Nest
This is a big project and will take some time but this will become the best place to compare all the Indianapolis builders. If you have any suggestions let me know and I will try to incorporate it...

I am very excited to report that MIBOR is releasing a new Indianapolis MLS over the next couple of months. The new MLS is currently up and running for real estate agents but from what I can tell it is still in Beta form. I have seen a few glitches, but overall this is a vast improvement over the last system we had. So why am I telling you this? The last system had some limitations and made the monthly report a little sloppy. This new system should remedy that problem; the new monthly will be way more accurate than before. So, starting this month I am going to use the new system for the monthly reports. They should be accurate, but I am still learning this system so if I miss something please understand. I am not sure what...

The Keystone Mall is set to get a $100 million expansion adding about 20 stores over the next two years. The 20% expansion of the mall will include the city’s second Nordstrom department store. It will also include two parking structures with over 700 spaces and a bigger and re-located food court. I think this expansion is a good thing, I have always found the Keystone Mall to be a bit odd and not user friendly. Having to walk over the road to get the other half of the mall always struck me as a bad design. That won’t change, but the walkway containing a few eateries which they call the “food court” will be expanded and moved closer to the new Nordstrom’s. I am truly excited for this expansion; I think it will bolster the...

If you planning on purchasing an Indianapolis home in Marion County in the next 10 months you need to be careful about the current property tax situation or you could end up paying dearly. For those not familiar with what is going on I will provide a way oversimplified explanation of what has happened: The entire state re-assessed residential real estate and property taxes went through the roof for a variety of reasons. People went crazy and protested when they got their tax bills. It came to light that commercial property was way undervalued in comparison to residential real estate. The Governor ordered Marion County (and a few others outside of Indianapolis) to re-assess both commercial and...
