Listing:
In May 2007, 181 homes were added to the Avon real estate market with an average list price of $198,112. In May 2006, 171 Avon homes were added to the market with an average list price of $199,068. This is an increase in new listings of 5% and a decrease in average list price of .5%.
Pending:
May 2007 had 83 Avon homes go pending with an average list price of $189,850. The same month in 2006 saw 109 homes go pending with an average list price of $172,628. There were 23% less homes that went pending in 2007 but, the average pending home in Avon went up $17,222 or 9.98%.
Sold:
The Avon real estate market had 73 homes close in May 2007 with an average sales price of $177,735. The average Avon home took 87 days to sell and received 96% of its asking price. In 2006, 80 Avon homes sold and the average home sold for $172,529. It took 88 days to sell the average home and it received 96% of the asking price. The sold homes indicate that the average Avon home sold for $5,206 or 3.01% more than in 2006.
While these numbers may not look that impressive, the Avon real estate market appears to be relatively strong. In a strong buyer’s market, it is very impressive to see a 3% gain in sold prices over last year.
