A new water park/ hotel could the newest addition to the madness surrounding the Anson project in Zionsville.  Indianapolis based Street Corner group accidentally announced on their website that its Boone Crossing Development at the corner of I-65 and S.R. 334 would include a 250 room hotel with a water park.  This “announcement” is not official yet and no hotel chain has been announced but they do expect the details of the project to be figured out in 2 – 3 months.   If this does happen, the water park and the rest of the project could be complete as soon as 2009.

When Cablea’s announced it would be building a store in Greenwood, it sparked a flurry of commercial real estate activity.  Several hotels and other commercial real estate committed to start new projects once the announcement was made.  It now remains to be seen what will happen with some of these projects.

So the future of Greenwood along...

Carmel Real Estate - Gramercy Put on Hold by Mike Taylor

One of the largest and most expensive real estate projects in the Indianapolis area has recently been put on hold.  Gramercy was slated to be a new $500 million mixed use project in Carmel with singles family homes, condominiums, town homes, apartments, offices and retail and was to begin this spring.  The project now has no timetable and could be shifted to strictly retail and commercial.  Developers are citing a slowing in the housing the market and Carmel’s decision to add roundabouts on Keystone as the main factors for their decision.

One could look at this news in one two ways: 1) This is terrible news and even more proof that the housing economy is sluggish or 2) This is good news and this is a wise business decision as the...
