Westfield is located in north-central Hamilton County, just 30 minutes north of Indianapolis. Westfield was founded in 1834 by Asa Bales, Ambrose Osborne, and Nathan Parker all of whom were Quakers from North Carolina and it is widely believed that Westfield was planned as a stop for the Underground Railroad.
Westfield has recently experienced a growth in population and is one of the main reasons that Hamilton County is of the fastest growing counties is the nation. Westfield is home to an award winning School Corporation with a technology academy that is nationally recognized.
