The Carmel Public Library serves a vital role in the Carmel-Clay community.  The 116,000 square foot state of the art facility offers shelving space for 300,000 books, 46,000 audiovisual items, and 665 periodicals.  You will also find 131 public computer work stations, study rooms, a library store and even a coffee shop.  The library is a major provider of children’s services including: pre-school and school age story times, educational programs, and the popular summer reading programs.
